About the role:

As the Consumer Communications Lead for North America, you’ll be responsible for scaling Canva’s brand across one of our most important markets. You’ll lead proactive consumer storytelling to build awareness, adoption, and advocacy for Canva through strategic media relations and editorial placements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute communications strategies, campaigns, messaging, and pitches.
  • Grow awareness, adoption, and advocacy for Canva through strategic media relations.
  • Lead cultural and trend-driven moments in partnership with the Marketing team.
  • Build trusted relationships with media across various platforms.
  • Create data-driven storytelling opportunities.
  • Drive regional internal communications and support global initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 10-15+ years of experience in high-growth consumer brands.
  • Deep understanding of media landscape and news generation.
  • Proven ability to secure positive press coverage.
  • Strong media relationships across various outlets.
  • Experience working with senior leaders and spokespeople.
