This role is based in San Francisco, CA, and is focused on hiring, mentoring, and supporting a specialized team of engineers.

Compensation:

$175,000 to $270,000

Responsibilities:

  • Hiring and mentoring a specialized team of performance and systems engineers.
  • Shaping the long-term performance roadmap for the Video Group.
  • Partnering with various teams to ensure performance is prioritized in product development.
  • Driving delivery of performance-related improvements.
  • Defining and tracking key performance indicators.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading engineering teams in fast-moving environments.
  • Strong systems thinking across frontend, backend, and native engines.
  • Ability to translate performance ambitions into actionable engineering roadmaps.
  • Comfort with using telemetry and A/B testing.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with cross-platform engines and performance considerations in AI/ML.
  • Knowledge of mobile performance ecosystems.
