Engineering Manager - Native Video Engine

This role is based in Sydney, Australia, and involves leading a team to develop Canva's Native Video Engine (NVE).

Responsibilities:

• Lead the team building cross-platform rendering and processing infrastructure for video playback, export, and editing.
• Drive strategy and execution across high-performance video rendering systems.
• Collaborate with various teams to deliver scalable video capabilities.
• Support the evolution of video infrastructure across multiple workflows.
• Build a strong engineering culture focused on technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and support engineers in their career development.
• Enhance engineering quality through performance monitoring and testing practices.
