About the Role:

Manage a team of ~7 engineers to improve the performance of the Canva editor.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach and mentor engineers while developing team capabilities.
  • Work with technical leads to solve complex technical problems.
  • Collaborate with Product Manager on the product roadmap.
  • Drive planning and alignment of seasonal goals.
  • Foster collaboration and advocate for engineering needs.
  • Oversee delivery of large initiatives from ideation to completion.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in technical leadership or mentorship.
  • Commercial software development experience, especially in frameworks or APIs.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, MobX.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
