About the Role:

We’re looking for an engineering manager to lead a team of ~7 engineers focused on improving the editing performance of Canva.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach and mentor engineers while developing team capabilities.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Work with the Product Manager on the product roadmap.
  • Drive planning and alignment of seasonal goals.
  • Foster collaboration and advocate for engineering needs.
  • Lead large cross-team initiatives from ideation to completion.

Requirements:

  • Experience in technical leadership or mentorship.
  • Commercial experience in software development.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, MobX.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
