About the Role:
We’re looking for an engineering manager to lead a team of ~7 engineers focused on improving the editing performance of Canva.
Responsibilities:
- Coach and mentor engineers while developing team capabilities.
- Collaborate with technical leads to solve complex technical challenges.
- Work with the Product Manager on the product roadmap.
- Drive planning and alignment of seasonal goals.
- Foster collaboration and advocate for engineering needs.
- Lead large cross-team initiatives from ideation to completion.
Requirements:
- Experience in technical leadership or mentorship.
- Commercial experience in software development.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, MobX.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
