Engineering Manager (BE) - Revenue Platform (ANZ Remote)

This role is based in Sydney, Australia with hybrid work options available.

Responsibilities:

• Leading one of Canva’s core revenue infrastructure teams.
• Guiding your team through complex technical challenges.
• Owning the team’s technical roadmap and project delivery.
• Coaching backend engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Partnering with Product, Finance, and other teams for monetisation initiatives.

Requirements:

• Backend expertise, ideally with experience in financial systems.
• Experience leading backend engineering teams.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud infrastructure (especially AWS).
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages like Java.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
