This internship is located in Yokohama, Japan.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and synthesize optical coating materials.
  • Formulate materials, optimizing viscosity, dispersion, and shelf stability.
  • Characterize materials using analytical tools such as FT-IR and Raman.
  • Evaluate thin-film properties including optical characteristics and environmental reliability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Master's or PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Applied Chemistry, Optics, or related fields.
  • Hands-on lab experience in material formulation and analysis.
  • Communication skills in Japanese and English.
  • Must hold a relevant work permit in Japan for the internship duration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently on complex tasks while communicating findings effectively.
