This role is based in Austin, Texas.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and technical leads building mission-critical identity verification services at scale.
  • Define the engineering strategy and operational roadmap across multiple workstreams.
  • Own the end-to-end architecture and operations of ML-powered services.
  • Partner with ML engineers to deploy and operate models.
  • Collaborate with iOS client teams to define and evolve APIs.
  • Work with product and design teams to shape requirements and deliver cohesive user experiences.
  • Champion a team culture of innovation and accountability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of engineering management experience.
  • Experience managing the deployment and operation of ML models in production.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on software development experience with Java or Kotlin and Spring.
  • Experience building and operating high-volume REST or gRPC services.
  • Familiarity with ML infrastructure and cloud-native architectures.
