Software Engineering Manager, Proxy Development

This role is based in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Guide technical discussions on concurrency models, memory allocation, and protocol implementation.
- Review critical code and architecture, mentor senior engineers, and lead production deployments.
- Lead the team in operational support for the data plane, addressing performance and stability issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering management.
- 7+ years in a hands-on systems software engineering role.
- Expertise in systems programming with Rust and/or C++.
- Experience developing high-performance networking software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with open-source proxies like Envoy or NGINX.
- Knowledge of modern proxy data planes and their extension mechanisms.
- Experience with performance analysis and debugging complex systems.
