This role is based in Austin, Texas.

What you'll do:

  • Maintain Android automation testing frameworks for apps, SDKs, and APIs
  • Develop and expand Espresso-based UI tests, including Jetpack Compose UI testing
  • Design automation patterns that reduce brittleness
  • Create and maintain automated suites for CI readiness
  • Debug failures efficiently and drive reliability improvements
  • Partner with engineers to improve testability
  • Contribute to automation documentation and onboarding guides

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in CS/SE or equivalent experience
  • Strong hands-on experience building Android automation testing
  • Proficiency with Espresso and experience testing Jetpack Compose UI
  • Solid Kotlin or Java coding skills
  • Familiarity with Gradle, Git, and CI pipelines
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs
  • Clear communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building or extending automation frameworks
  • Experience with UI Automator or Appium
  • Experience with test stabilization
  • Experience with device/lab environments
  • Familiarity with Maps/location frameworks is a plus
