This role is based in Austin, Texas.
What you'll do:
- Maintain Android automation testing frameworks for apps, SDKs, and APIs
- Develop and expand Espresso-based UI tests, including Jetpack Compose UI testing
- Design automation patterns that reduce brittleness
- Create and maintain automated suites for CI readiness
- Debug failures efficiently and drive reliability improvements
- Partner with engineers to improve testability
- Contribute to automation documentation and onboarding guides
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in CS/SE or equivalent experience
- Strong hands-on experience building Android automation testing
- Proficiency with Espresso and experience testing Jetpack Compose UI
- Solid Kotlin or Java coding skills
- Familiarity with Gradle, Git, and CI pipelines
- Experience testing RESTful APIs
- Clear communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building or extending automation frameworks
- Experience with UI Automator or Appium
- Experience with test stabilization
- Experience with device/lab environments
- Familiarity with Maps/location frameworks is a plus
