Product Quality Engineering (PQE) Intern, Korea

This role is based in Pohang, Korea.

Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical and destructive failure analysis for failure reproduction, data collection, and root cause identification.
• Be involved in new micro-joining process development to enhance future product quality and conduct DOEs to validate process capability.
• Use data to develop the quality monitoring system and implement a data-driven alert system.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Science Engineering.
• Experience in data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
• Basic understanding of surface mount assembly processes.
• Must be able to be based in Pohang (weekdays) for the duration of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of quality and reliability concepts.
• Understanding of DOE principles.
• Experience in developing quality plans, validating test methods, and driving corrective actions/failure analysis efforts.
• Experience with tools such as FIB/SEM, X-ray, Probe Station, FTIR/Raman, Spectrometer, TDR.
• Strong interpersonal skills - verbal, written, and executive presentations.
