Modem Validation Engineer

This role is based in Munich, Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Design comprehensive test plans based on high-level design documents and 3GPP specifications.
• Implement and automate test cases using industry-standard test development platforms.
• Verify and validate test results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Identify, report, and track issues through resolution, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
• Perform deep analysis of cellular traces across all protocol layers from a system-level perspective.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to enhance test automation and analysis workflows.
• Leverage AI/ML techniques at every stage to improve testing efficiency and overall system performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Understanding and experience with 4G and 5G cellular systems testing.
• Knowledge & Experience in Automation and Scripting skills using Python.
• Experience in building applications with AIML.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in wireless embedded system testing, with a focus on 4G and 5G technologies.
• Skilled in defining, developing, and validating cellular modem system test cases for mobile devices using industry-standard test development platforms.
• Experienced in applying machine learning to enhance cellular system functionality and test efficiency.
• Solid grasp of 3GPP specifications including LTE and NR air interface, and key protocol layers — PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, PDCP, and NAS.
• Proven ability to independently lead complex technology areas and drive product quality improvements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
