Compensation:

$198,300 - $342,800/year

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality additions to the Metal API.
  • Monitor industry trends to identify gaps or opportunities for differentiation in Metal.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the graphics stack.
  • Support and grow the Production Metal Framework team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with GPU APIs (Metal, DirectX, Vulkan, CUDA, etc).
  • Solid foundation in systems engineering and performance analysis.
  • Prior experience as a manager or tech lead.
  • Strong programming skills with C/C++/Objective-C.
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multiple years managing engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of graphics/compute APIs and GPU architecture.
  • Familiarity with machine learning fundamentals and Apple frameworks.
