Internship - Apple Machine Translation Quality Estimation & Metrics

This internship is based in Munich, Germany, where you will work with Apple's Machine Learning and AI team.

What you'll do:

Collaborate with world-class software engineers and machine learning practitioners to design and implement solutions for machine translation problems, particularly in speech translation.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with a mentor to develop innovative solutions.
  • Present your work to AIML leadership at the end of the internship.
  • Opportunity to submit work for publication at a conference.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrolled as a student in a Master's, PhD, or equivalent program.
  • In-depth knowledge of deep learning and statistical machine learning.
  • Experience with quality estimation and evaluation metrics for machine translation.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks like PyTorch.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to deliver ML technologies aligned with Apple's core values.
  • Expertise in quality estimation, evaluation metrics, machine translation, and natural language processing.
