EHS Engineer, Japan Corporate EHS

This role is based in Yokohama, Japan.

Responsibilities:

• Manage R&D lab safety and occupational health.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections.
• Oversee emergency preparedness and environmental protection initiatives.
• Assist EHS manager in program performance communication.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields.
• 5+ years of EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing or R&D.
• Knowledge of chemical and mechanical safety engineering.
• Familiarity with national and local EHS regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification as an occupational health officer.
• Strong communication skills in Japanese and English.
• Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
