Description
As a Lab Engineer, you will be a core member of the Ring and Blink engineering organization, responsible for operating and continuously improving the Cambridge test lab used by software development and quality engineering teams.The lab supports automated release validation, nightly testing, issue investigation, and validation of features in development across Android and iOS mobile devices, physical Ring and Blink products, and simulated device environments.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience- Experience in software QA testing including writing test plans, use cases, and issue reports- Experience in a consumer electronics lab environment- Experience in a Linux or Unix environment- Experience working on a consumer hardware or software product
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Jenkins build environments- Experience configuring, deploying, and testing software updates, including the ability to identify issues and escalate to development as appropriate- Experience running user trials, beta, field testing or collecting customer feedback- Experience working with hardware and software teams for setting up, testing, and troubleshooting prototype devices
