Senior Data Engineer, Payments

This role is based in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust and efficient data pipelines that collect, process, and store data from various sources.
• Develop data models for efficient analysis and manipulation of data.
• Build scalable data pipelines using SparkSQL & Scala with Airflow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to the Data Engineering community at Airbnb.
• Improve code and data quality using internal tools.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience with a BS/Masters, or 2+ years with a PhD.
• Experience with distributed data platforms (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Flink, HBase).
• Strong knowledge of Java, Scala, or Python, and SQL.
• Ability to analyze large data sets and provide insights.
• Expertise with ETL schedulers like Apache Airflow.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with relational and columnar databases.
• Excellent communication skills.
