Manager, Engineering – Payments (AI/ML)

This role is based in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities:

• Set direction and priorities, balancing platform generalization and domain-specific needs
• Guide technical decisions, ensuring scalable, multi-tenant platform components
• Raise the bar for AI Ops, improving SLOs, incident management, and system observability
• Lead and mentor engineers, fostering a high-performing, motivated team
• Communicate impact through clear updates on platform adoption and reliability

Requirements:

• 7–10+ years of software engineering experience, with 3–5+ years in leadership or tech lead roles
• Proven success building and operating production backend/infrastructure/ML systems
• Strong product mindset and stakeholder communication skills
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI Observability, and AI Ops is highly desired
• Excellent collaborator and influencer across teams
