Data Scientist (Contractor), Economics & Policy

This role is a contractor position for 18 months, based in the United States with remote eligibility.
Compensation:
$140—$150/hour
Responsibilities:
- Model and analyze regulatory impact
- Support statistical models and machine learning algorithms
- Assist in data collection and preparation
- Write and maintain code for data processing
- Create visualizations to convey research findings
- Prepare summaries and contribute to presentations
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in data modeling and analysis
- Proficiency in R/Python, SQL, and data visualization tools
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
- Experience with causal inference techniques
- Exposure to policy and economics domains
