This internship is based in Menlo Park, CA and offers a duration of 12 to 24 weeks.

Compensation:

$7,650/month to $12,134/month + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to understand the semantics of various data modalities including text, audio, and images.
  • Collaborate with research mentors and review existing literature to solve real-world problems.
  • Develop and test novel solutions through extensive experimentation.
  • Draft research publications and present findings to audiences.
  • Contribute to research that informs Meta's product development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or obtaining a PhD in relevant fields such as Natural Language Processing or Machine Learning.
  • Research experience in NLP, Speech Processing, or related areas.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python or C++.
  • Work authorization in the country of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record of significant achievements in AI research.
  • Experience with open-source contributions in NLP or Computer Vision.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and communicate effectively in a team environment.
