Security Engineer, Cloud Threat and Abuse Detection

This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Compensation:

$147,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Research new detection techniques to prevent/mitigate abusive activities.
  • Develop high fidelity detection to identify malicious activity based on telemetry.
  • Analyze logs and packets to improve detection accuracy.
  • Proactively hunt for threats and respond to incidents.
  • Create and manage tools for abuse reports and threat intelligence data.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with security assessments or threat modeling.
  • 2 years of experience with security engineering and protocols.
  • 2 years of coding experience in general-purpose languages.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in cloud security research or threat detection.
  • Experience with host/memory-based forensics.
  • Experience analyzing malicious network traffic.
